Areola Correction

Areola correction is a surgical procedure offered at Enova Surgery to reshape or resize the pigmented area surrounding the nipple, helping to restore symmetry, and create a more balanced, aesthetically pleasing appearance.

It’s completely natural for there to be some asymmetry between the breasts—just like with our hands, eyes, or feet. However, in some cases, the difference in size or shape between the areolas can be quite noticeable, leading to self-consciousness or discomfort. Areola irregularities may be present from birth or may develop later due to hormonal changes, puberty, pregnancy, or previous surgery.

With Enova Surgery, areola correction is a highly personalised procedure. Whether the goal is to reduce the size of a larger areola, correct uneven shape, or address puckering and scarring, our skilled surgical team will work with you to create a tailored plan that meets your needs and enhances your confidence.

What to expect from the procedure:

Areola correction is performed under local anaesthetic as a day case, meaning you’ll be able to return home the same day. The most common technique involves making a circular incision around the edge of the areola, removing a donut-shaped area of excess pigmented tissue, and carefully closing the incision with fine, hidden sutures to maintain a natural-looking result.

There are a number of techniques available, and the right one for you will depend on your anatomy, skin quality, and personal goals. Your surgeon will discuss all options during your consultation and guide you through every step of the process.

If you are also concerned about the size or projection of your nipples, nipple reduction can be performed alongside areola correction for a more complete and harmonious enhancement.

At Enova Surgery, we’re committed to helping you feel confident and comfortable in your body. Every areola correction procedure is bespoke, designed with precision and delivered with expert care.
